MMI Tigers are well known for their dedication to academic excellence and military fortitude.

Academics

There are a wide variety of academic programs to choose from. There are two and four-year degrees available. Students can choose to study pre-nursing, pre-engineering, leadership, English, history, natural science, psychology, sociology or elementary education.

MMI is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation and the Alabama College Conference.

Military Programs

One of the most unique military programs at MMI is the service academy preparation program. This year-long program prepares high school graduates for entrance into one of the U.S. service academies. Students may choose to attend service academies like West Point or the Air Force Academy after participating in this program. In addition, students who wish to spend their educational careers at MMI can also become commissioned officers in the U.S.

There is even an early commissioning program for Army reserve officers. Students who wish to pursue a corporate career are free to do so. There is no mandatory military service agreement for cadets, and the leadership skills gained will certainly give non-service students an edge in the corporate world.

Scabbard and Blade

Scabbard and Blade is a prestigious campus organization that honors MMI scholars. The club is over 100 years old and is full of tradition. It’s actually a national joint service organization that spans over 230 companies in the United States. Members believe in raising the standard of military excellence in education.
